In spring 2025, VR Plast added two Goodway CNC lathes to its production department: the Goodway GS-2800LY and the Goodway GLS-2000 LYS. The introduction of these 5-axis machines increases internal turning capacity and expands machining possibilities for custom components in plastic and metal.
These two lathes introduce multi-axis configurations with integrated turning and milling capabilities, allowing complex operations to be completed in a single cycle. This reduces part repositioning and improves geometric consistency across machining stages.
Having multiple machines with complementary characteristics also enables better workload distribution and more stable production management, especially for small batches and recurring jobs.
The GS-2800LY is a multi-axis CNC lathe with integrated milling capabilities. It is suitable for machining components that require combined operations and complex geometries, reducing intermediate steps.
The GLS-2000 LYS features a dual spindle and multiple controlled axes. This configuration allows full machining of the part in a continuous cycle, improving both precision and repeatability.
The machine is also equipped with a Top Automazioni bar feeder, enabling high-volume production in reduced time. In addition, the sub-spindle completes the machining process, further reducing cycle times.
